Delete your account & data

Qurany is free and works fully offline. A Qurany account is optional and is used only for Circles — sharing goals with family or a study circle. You can permanently delete your account and its associated data at any time, using either method below.

Delete from within the app

1. Open Qurany and go to the Circles tab (you need to be signed in).
2. Tap your profile avatar to open your Account.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm. Your account and its server-side data are removed immediately.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot open the app, email hello@orbitapps.net from the email address linked to your account, with the subject “Delete my Qurany account.” We verify ownership of the address and complete the deletion within 30 days — usually much sooner.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes the following from our servers:

• Your profile (your name and the email linked to your account)
• Your profile photo / avatar
• Circles you created, and your membership in any circle
• Shared goal progress and completions synced to Circles

Your personal practice data — goals, reflections, and your reading, memorization, review, listening, and tafsir logs and bookmarks — is stored locally on your device, not on our servers. It is removed when you uninstall the app or use Clear all data in Settings.

What is kept, and for how long

Once your account is deleted we do not retain your personal account data. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before they are overwritten, and we may keep a minimal record only where required by law. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
